Our Philosophy

"As a Church School, with a distinctive Christian character and family ethos, our aim is to provide an educational, spiritual and moral framework in which all our children can grow, develop and achieve their full potential"

We view each child as an individual whose needs are met through continuous assessment, careful planning, varied lessons and continuous review.

We view the parental involvement as an essential part of our pupils’ schooling, and are always pleased to have new ideas of ways that parents can become more actively involved.
The School follows the National Curriculum and all pupils take part in all subjects.
To ensure that children acquire a good command of English and an ability to communicate with other people
To encourage children to enjoy reading
To develop a knowledge, understanding and enjoyment of maths
To encourage scientific enquiry and experimentation, and to develop research skills
To awaken an awareness of their heritage through topic work in the local environment
To encourage children to express themselves fully through creative arts
To foster respect and appreciation for their environment, and to make them aware of their responsibilities
To provide an enjoyable experience of physical activities, and to teach a variety of physical skills
To be adept with information technology skills

As a Church School, we have close links with the local Church, and aim to provide a spiritual and moral framework in which they can grow and develop.
