Class Pages
We have designed our curriculum to prepare our children for life in modern Britain. It is intended to teach the full National Curriculum whilst also supporting the unique needs of our pupils at Defford. Our curriculum is built using 4 pillars: Knowledge, Vocabulary, Understanding and Skills. Each subject has its own curriculum, designed to provide a progression of these 4 pillars. We also make use of topics. Each class has a topic that provides a theme for some of the children's learning. This helps give our pupils ownership of their learning and helps them to develop links in their knowledge. Through our class pages you can find more details of what the children are learning each term in their class.
