Letters for Oak Class
Our Stone Age poems inspired by Michael Rosen's poetry
I was born in the Stone Age
I woke up in the morning
And had my cereal but it was not cereal it was a bowl of stones.
I put my clothes on but they weren’t clothes it was a rock.
I put my shoes on but I did not have shoes I had a pebble.
I road my bike to school but I did not have a bike I had a rock.
I went into school but there weren’t schools then it was a rock.
Mrs said ‘get out your paper and pens but we did not have paper and pens we had rocks and pebbles.
Then we went home and I walked the dog but we did not have a dog we had a rock.
I had my curry but we did not have curry we had a pebbles.
I went to bed but I didn’t have a bed I had a rock.

I was born in the Stone Age
In the morning I woke up in my rocky bed
I ate cornflakes but made of pebbles
I went to my rock school and sat on rock
I read my book of rock about rocks
At lunchtime, I ate my sandwiches. Of rock
I went to do PE with my rock friends and rock football
I went home and walked my dog, who was obviously a pebble
Then I went to ride my horse of stone I kicked but it was too stubborn to move
I drank some water. Funnily an off it was a rock. I chocked on all of them separately
I watched my mum make some pebbles which was gravy I sprinkled over my dinner
I brushed my teeth of which were made of rock so it was polite to brush them with rock

I was born in the stone age
I took my dog for a walk but the dog was made of stone
Then I went to school but the chairs and desks were made of stone
Then I went on a bike ride but my helmet was made of stone.
